Charlotte Caffey

Charlotte Caffey is an American musician and songwriter, best known as a founding member of the influential all-female rock band The Go-Go's. Born on October 21, 1953, in Santa Monica, California, she played guitar and keyboards and contributed significantly to the band's songwriting. The Go-Go's emerged in the late 1970s and were pivotal in the new wave and punk rock scenes, achieving mainstream success with their debut album, "Beauty and the Beat" (1981), which topped the Billboard charts and included hits like "Our Lips Are Sealed" and "We Got the Beat."
